A Message from our Choir Director
Greetings Chorus Students and Parents:
Welcome to a new year with the Chippewa Valley High School Chorus Department. I am very excited for the year to come! We have many wonderful musical experiences approaching for which I am thrilled! I am certain that with the hard work of the ensembles we will achieve great success. Chippewa Valley High School has such a rich choral history that we intend to honor and continue through this year. With the strong support of the young musicians, parents, administration, and community, we have all of the tools necessary to ensure excellence.
Again, I am honored to be part of such a wonderful program and am excited to continue the journey with this wonderful choral family.
Sincerely,
Mr. James Pecar, Director of Choirs

Who are the Choir Boosters?
Every student, parent/guardian in the Treble Choir, Bel Canto, Chorale, or Choraliers, is a member of the Boosters. Choir Boosters is an extremely important organization that helps and supports the choir program, and therefore, every student who is in choir. The success of our choirs depends greatly on parental support. Choir Boosters supports the choir in many ways such as:
Setting up before and after a concert
Selling Concessions at concerts
Helping backstage at a concert
Fitting, Distributing, and Maintaining Concert uniforms
Organizing Fundraisers
Paying for accompanists - pianists, rock bands, other instrumentalists, choreographers, piano tuning, copier service, etc.
Awarding scholarships to seniors for college
Organizing the Choir Banquet at the end of the year
Help set up, line up volunteers, and sell concessions at MSVMA Solo/Ensemble in January
Chaperone the choir at various travel performances (e.g., festivals, music conferences, etc.)
Organizing Choir trips and helping to offset trip costs to students
How do we survive?
The fundraisers that are held throughout the school year pay for what isn’t provided in the school budget. It includes items such as accompanists for the concerts, bus transportation (if needed), entrance fees for District & Regional festivals and competitions, choreography, printing and much more. Other opportunities that help us survive and improve, are donations, grants, and services rendered by an individual or company. If you are interested or know of anyone who may be interested in offering services or financial assistance, please contact one of the officers or Mr. Pecar.
We need your help!
Finally, we survive because of our wonderful VOLUNTEERS! We need many hands to help in many ways! We know that everyone’s time is valuable, but if everyone helped out just one time, no one would feel overwhelmed! There are many opportunities and ways that you can individually help – even if it is a small time commitment. Please consider your talents and let us know how you can help. Call or email any of the officers with questions or to let us know what you can do for the Choir. We have many things that we’d like to accomplish this year, and we’ll gratefully accept what you can do! We survive because of YOU! Without your support, we do not exist. This wonderful program continues to grow in numbers and in the outstanding quality that is available for your student.
Please help us support them in their efforts! We look forward to a wonderful year with CVHS Choir!
Gratefully yours,
